How engagements start
Nothing here is scoped from a capability list. The first session runs against the estate you actually have, and it ends with a ballpark, a sequence, and a decision about whether the work belongs here at all. A referral out is a normal outcome, not a failed call.
Who does the work
One senior lead owns the engagement from scope through closeout, and stays reachable for the whole of it. Everyone else is assembled around that lead: some from the direct team, the rest from specialist firms the principals have worked alongside for years. Tiering is deliberate. Each part of the job goes to the level that should be doing it rather than to whoever is free, and you know which people are on it before they start.
How we handle vendors
A vendor decision is made against the estate, not against a partner list. Where two products both clear the requirement, the tie-break is what your team can still operate on the day the engagement ends. Partner credentials with Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet and Tenable exist so the chosen platform is supported properly, not to shape which platform gets chosen.
What you keep
Handover quality tracks incentive. A firm that sells the support contract is paid whether or not your team can operate what it inherited; this one does not sell one. Project and advisory work is the whole business, ongoing support and day-to-day operations belong with your own team or a referral partner, and the only thing a thin handover buys here is a client who does not come back. What leaves with your team is the as-built documentation, the runbooks for the things that page someone at 2am, and a roadmap they can execute without a follow-on engagement.
Where we work
The firm is based in Idaho Falls; engagements run across the United States. On-site time is scoped to the work that genuinely requires a building: a wireless survey, a cutover night, a walk of a floor nobody has documented. Everything else runs from wherever the right person for it happens to be, which is the same reason the bench is a network rather than an office.
